Romantic Wedding in the Olive Grove at Bracu Estate

Amidst the soft greens of the Olive Grove at Bracu Estate, Bombay is the perfect, peaceful and romantic spot to say I Do.
Sara and Liam chose Bracu for its peaceful, romantic vibe and location, just far enough away from the hubbub of city life but close enough to the airport for guests to travel. And it was perfect!
I've known Sara a long time and was so excited for her and Liam's big day.
And it was my first photography visit to Bracu, so doubly excited. And so many beautiful photo spots to choose from. I was like a kid in candy store - where to go next? No pressure :-)
Getting ready - the excitement builds
Whether you choose to keep it simple or build up the excitement with lots of activities, there's still lots to do.
But the most important part is sharing it with your best family and buddies.
Sara and Liam chose to keep it simple.
Bracu Estate has three stunning houses on site that make it so easy to relax and be together, whilst being close enough to the venue to pop over and set up for the ceremony and reception.
THE Dress!
Let us not kid ourselves. THE DRESS is important!
Even if you choose to keep it simple, whether you choose to keep it secret or share it, THE Dress is still important.
Sara's dress is by the incomparable Maggie Sottero.
Sara, of course, looks a million dollars whatever she wears, but in her Maggie Sottero wedding gown she shone like the true star she is.
And getting into the dress is a very special moment.
Sara shared it with her mom and sister, who came all the way from Canada for Sara and Liam's special day.
And let us not forget the Groom and Best Man. Liam's brother, aka Best Man, was by his side, to make sure the suit was perfect and with moral support to calm those pre wedding excitement butterflies.
1st Look
I love 1st Looks. It's one of the most precious moments of your day when you get to see each other for the first time all dressed up and, most importantly, spend a few quiet moments together.
It's quite possibly the only time you'll actually spend alone together on your wedding day until you collapse at the end of the night!
I feel so priveledged that Sara and Liam chose to have an hour together in the olive grove and around Brace Estate (with me, mostly, at a distance on a long lens) to enjoy these precious moments together. This time together also makes for the best photos, those romantic moments that you will treasure forever.
1st look photos are also the ones you usually decide to print and frame.
The I Dos
There are certain moments in life that you never forget, that give you butterflies and tingling in your heart. Walking down the aisle is one of them.
It's a big moment for whoever walks you down the aisle too.
And for the one waiting at the front!

All your Special People
One of the most important photos of the day - all you special people together! Everyone wants to see this one.
The Wedding Reception & fun makers
The minute you're married everything changes. You completely relax and everyone is ready to party.
After a toast and quick family photos in the Bracu Olive Grove, Sara and Liam had a cocktail hour on the patio by the lake followed. Soon followed by a beautiful reception in the Pavilion.
Another great moment in your day - the huge cheers as you enter the reception to squels of support from your nearest and dearest. It sure is a high and I love capturing those smiles.
Cheeky moment alert as Sara and Liam realise they've been spotted waiting to enter as Mr & Mrs. Heehee!
And then this happened...
Just as everyone sat down for dinner and my screaming feet wouldn't be silenced, even by a change of shoes, this happens!
Holly, Bracu's amazing wedding coordinator, calls me to a table for one, set outside just for me, with a cloth and a feast of yummy food and more much needed lemonade!!
Thank you Sara and Liam and the amazing team at Bracu Estate.
And my feet stop screaming and I'm all revved up ready for the speeches, cake and dancing. What a difference a dinner makes.
Party Party
One thing is sure - if you marry a Principal dancer, you have to accept that, one day you will have to dance! Yes, in front of other people!!
And Liam sure did himself proud! Sara of course made it look easy, with sublime grace, poise and fun.
But Liam, Liam excelled! And when it came to The Lift he had everyone applauding. And to finish he even let the prima ballerina step forward in the final bow, like a true pro. What a star xx
