Nestled in the gentle rolling hills of the South Downs is the exquisite little church of St Peter at Southease.
Nowhere could have been more perfect for Dixie and Milo's wedding.
On the first day of summer, with the wild flowers in bloom and the trees and grasses in their glorious fresh green foliage, their day was gently touched by everything that is magnificent about the Sussex countryside.
Getting Ready
It's exciting, the adrenalin is running high but, supported by families and a team of besties, it's soooo much fun.
THE Dress!
Let us not kid ourselves. THE DRESS is important!
Dixie is a designer. Can you tell? She designed and made her own gown complete with overlay of exquisite glass beads and drop shoulder puff sleeves. Pure heaven.
Getting into the dress is a very special moment.
It took a team effort ably assisted by Dixie's Mum, sister and besties. The rewards of which were ecstatic.
Meanwhile the Groom and Best Men were waiting patiently at the church for the grand entrance. Hearts abeating.
1st Look
I love 1st Looks.
You can choose to have 1st Look with your partner or with special members of your family - Mum, Dad, Grandies, special people..
It's one of the most precious moments of your day when you get to see each other for the first time all dressed up and, most importantly, spend a few quiet moments together.
It's quite possibly the only time you'll actually spend alone together on your wedding day until you collapse at the end of the night!
I always feel so priveledged to photograph 1st Looks and no one regrets spending these few precious moments together or the resulting emotional images.
Dixie chose to have 1st Look with Dad. And yes I had a lump in my throat too.
