"Rather like a mountain goat" as some of my wedding clients called me. Thanks to Neville, Tracey, John and friends for providing these shots of me in action on the Ledge at Cecil Peak for the recent wedding of Neville and Tracey.
Being on the Ledge always puts me in mind of Caspar David Friedrich's "Wanderer above a sea of fog". There's an innate urge (and perhaps a slightly wicked humour) that wants to emulate that stance. We can think that we are queens and kings of the world but that sea of fog can engulf you in a second and the landscape can change at any time. Queen and mite in the same fleeting instant. Breathtaking and humbling.
