Wellington and the Wairarapa

Wellington Te Whanganui-a-Tara (the great harbour of Tara), Aotearoa New Zealand's harbour capital city, is famous for its vibrant creative culture, and the Kapiti coast regions, with its golden beaches and hours of sunshine are two of my favourite wedding locations.  Both have so many great options for wedding venues and locations.

Tarureka Estate

Tarureka Estate Featherston 400px300ppiSet in the character village of Featherston, Tarureka Estate homestead, barn, cottage and gardens are a beaut place for a Wairarapa country chic wedding.

The people who run Tarureka are just awesome, nothing is too much trouble and the food is fab.

I photographed Ana & Nick's wedding here and had a fabulous day. So many beautiful locations for photos and a great rain day option in the barn.

The Milk Station, Otaki

The Milk Station Otaki 400px300ppiI love The Milk Station in Otaki, which is owned and designed by the very talented Lyndia Wood and run by my wonderful friend, Norbert Koptisch. No one will look after you better than Norbert.

The Milk Station is a clever, tasteful and character conversion. The reception rooms can be magnificent or intimate. Through the large wooden arch doors, you discover a hidden courtyard at the heart of the accommodation.

Lyndia had the amazing foresight to remove part of the old Milk Station roof to create this private oasis. The gardens are both formal and wild Mediterranean, with so many options for wonderful photos.
